Pause Breathwork is a method where we use continual breathwork to break down emotions in the body that are stagnant, and supports us in connecting to our highest potential and our infinite selves. Breathwork is a practice of allowing our systems to see a different perspective whereby we feel deeply connected to our bodies and understanding, and experience the intelligence contained within our systems. Pause Breathwork is a way to heal, release, and transform.

So what are Somatics? Soma means ‘body’ in Greek. And Somatics are the multitude of modalities that support us in reconnecting with our bodies. Through somatic practice, we come to regard the body as the seat of the self, and our brain as simply making meaning of the many sensations sent to it from the body. The mind and body operate together, with our feelings and emotions being created within the body as felt sensation and interpreted by the brain as stories about how we feel. Stories that are run through the lens of our socialization, our conditioning, what we learned in our families and our religious communities, the shame, the blame, the guilt, and all the other stories running our programming.
Through somatic practices, we can experience giving ourselves that which we seek from others in a deeply grounded, centered, and embodied way. Many of us (probably most of us) have been living from the neck up. Our bodies have been ignored, bypassed, even banished from voicing themselves. Through somatic practices, we get to remember what it feels like to be whole and to feel your own power, agency, and capacity in your whole body.
For many of us who have tried traditional "talk therapy", they have found that trauma is often stored in the body and that you can't "talk your way out of trauma". Somatics takes a "bottom up" approach, and works to change the state of the body which then shifts our stories and allows for new possibilities and healing.
Through archetypal trauma healing, we connect with identities that help us transform beyond our childhood, societal, and religious conditioning. This allows us to connect back to our most authentic selves and the divinity that is the birthright of being human.
